Taiwanese scoring
Every pattern, and what it is worth
Every tai in Taiwanese 16-tile mahjong, shown in tiles. The defaults are what most Taiwanese tables and the big apps play; where a big app or many tables play a line differently, one line under it says so. Every value on this page comes from the game engine.
Each value is what that line adds; Taiwanese tai simply add up, with no cap. What we checked, and where sources differ.
How a payment works
Base plus tai times the unit. At a base of 100 and 20 a tai, a 5-tai hand costs a plain payer 100 + 5 × 20 = 200.
Self-draw: three pay. Discard: one pays.
The dealer’s tai (1) and the streak tai (2N) count only between the dealer and the player paying.
No minimum
A hand with no tai still wins the base. Big hands add to the other lines, a few exceptions aside, with no cap.

Every-flower tables (the other way of scoring)
At every-flower tables, Round wind, Seat wind and Own flower do not score; these five rows do instead. The calculator can switch to it.
