Tai calculator
Build a hand, see its tai
Tap tiles to build any hand. The score comes from the same engine that scores the game, recomputed on every change: every tai, and what each player pays, dealer and streak included. The address holds the whole hand, so a scored hand is a link you can share.

Tiles you tap go into your concealed hand. For a set you claimed or declared, pick its type first.

Rare situations
These depend on how the hand went, not on its tiles. Greyed ones cannot apply to this hand: heavenly and earthly ready, and the heavenly, earthly and human wins, need a hand with no chow, pung or exposed kong.
Your table’s rules · Common defaults
The defaults are what most Taiwanese tables and the big apps play. Change what your table does differently; the result follows.
Your hand · 0 / 17
Tap tiles on the left to add them, one at a time.
Your concealed tiles and declared sets make 17: five sets and a pair.
What this calculator follows
The defaults are what most Taiwanese tables and the big apps play: 16 tiles, only your own flower and winds scoring, the streak with its bonus, and no cap. A hand scores here exactly as it scores in the game, because this page runs the same code. If your table plays differently, open “Your table’s rules”.

Common questions
Why is the dealer tai not in the total?
The dealer’s tai and the streak tai count only between the dealer and the player paying. When a non-dealer self-draws, only the dealer pays extra; between two non-dealers, nobody does. So the total is the hand’s own tai, and each payment adds the dealer’s share where it applies.
The tai differ from what my table plays
Open “Your table’s rules” and set what you play: every flower and wind pung counting, All honours at 8, Heavenly win at 32, Human win at 8, no Last-discard win, or the streak without its bonus. The result follows, and the link remembers it.
Where do the numbers come from?
The same game engine the app uses. The defaults follow the majority of Taiwanese sources, listed on the sources page.
